Having all our electronic gadgets and gizmos go wireless is only the beginning of our lives in a fully wireless world. The next level would be IoT (Internet of Things) & IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things), which is the use of smart sensors and actuators to enhance manufacturing and industrial processes. Also known as the Industrial Internet or Industry 4.0, due to the demand for more speed, more bandwidth, everything smarter is rolling out at a manic pace.
The most concerning thing for us, is millimeter waves. In April 2020, Elon Mask’s SpaceX alone launched 60 satellites into space as part of their Starlink program. In the near future, SpaceX plans to launch as many as 42,000 satellites, all of them beaming millimeter waves from the sky. And what more, China, too, is doing the exact same thing. In a recent global 5G summit, an expert speaker said that SpaceX tested its satellites on April 23/24th over the EU and the US and during those days, a record number of people reported unusual heart palpitation and shortness of breath (https://the5gsummit.com/livestream/?idev_id=25030).
5G, with its ”super-fast” frequencies cannot travel very far. Therefore, the 3G & 4G infrastructure will have to remain intact. According to some experts, 5G would produce effective speeds only when the receiver (user) is within 1,500 feet of the antenna. The other important point to note is that 5G booster/repeater frequencies are directional, unlike 3G/4G where the frequencies are not directional, rather, they are spherical. For instance, to locate a person, the 5G repeaters need to triangulate their waves. This means that soon, you will be seeing loads and loads of 5G repeaters in your neighborhood. There is no escape anymore: 5G on the ground and millimeter wave from the sky.
